TSD RAIL HAS BEEN AWARDED THE METRO OF MADRID PROJECT, INTEGRAL AESTHETIC RESTORATION OF THE HERITAGE MR-6 UNIT.

TSD Rail has been awarded the Metro de Madrid project, in which is expected to restore in depth and to return to its original state two Heritage MR-6 units that come from the origin of the Metro of Madrid’s activity. These cars were put into service in 1919, covering the first section of Line 1, between Sol and Cuatro Caminos.

We will disassemble carefully all components because the MR-6 units are part of Heritage. Once this is ready, each component will be restored and returned as close to the original as possible. After the restoration, each component will be assembled again.

His current state of conservation is poor. The cars are very rusted, both inside and outside, and the pavement is badly damaged as a result of use and over time. A detailed project will be performed before the restoration.

Throughout this Project will be assisted by members of the Metro of Madrid, working side by side with our staff.

These units with a great historical value and more than a century old are part of the beginning of Metro of Madrid, as well as, the history of the Community of Madrid.
